So I realize it's April but I wanna bring it back to New Years Eve. How many of you make resolutions? How many of you follow through with them?
I personally love resolutions. I try to pick a habit or an aspiration that's achievable and which will make me a better person. They're little things, like being better at following through on making plans with people or buying more local produce or washing my dishes every night. I've been fairly good at sticking to these resolutions, and each year I feel like they've helped me achieve a little personal growth.
But this past December 31, 2017, I gave myself some time and pondered what I wanted to commit to in 2018:
"Alison, what are you unsatisfied with, and is there anything you feel like you're missing or would add value to your life?"
The answer was suddenly and surprisingly clear. I knew what was missing.
Roller coasters.
This year my resolution is to RIDE MORE ROLLER COASTERS.
But not just any roller coasters. The BEST roller coasters.
I also want to make an effort to travel a lot more, but these days my budget is pretty tight. So close-to-home domestic destinations are more in line with what I can afford if I want to travel once or twice a month. I've also severely neglected traveling around the US, and since amusement parks are the caramel-apple glue that holds this nation together, I can't think of a better way to familiarize myself with my homeland.
So I'm embarking on a year-long tour of the finest and trillest coasters in this great land has to offer, and I'm calling it ROLLER COAST TO COAST. (Also I'm trying to bring back the word 'trill.')
My ultimate goal is to never come down from an adrenaline high.
I'm planning on visiting some of the best roller coasters in the country, and you can check out a map of amusement parks over on my map page or follow this link to head to the Google Map.
Of course you can expect some silly videos as well, so keep an eye on the Roller Coast to Coast playlist or follow my Instagram so you don't miss one single sweet ride!
What's your favorite roller coaster and what are the best can't-miss amusement parks? Let me know in the comments below!
Ooohhhh Roller Coasters! Looking forward to your rides!
